Another strategy I use is to look for signal words that indicate the main ideas, like “first,” “however,” and “in conclusion.” These words often highlight important points in the passage. Also, practicing active reading can be helpful. This means underlining or highlighting key sentences and writing notes in the margins as you read. It keeps me engaged and helps me remember the main points better.

I totally get what you mean. One thing that helps me is to read the questions first before reading the passage. This way, I know what to look for and can focus on finding the answers as I read. I also try to summarize each paragraph in my own words after I read it. This helps me keep track of the main ideas and not get lost in the details.
